New workspace blends Canadian modesty with global sophistication

In the fast-evolving world of interior design, staying current is not a luxury — it’s a professional obligation. For Registered Interior Designers in Ontario, like those of us at LWG, continuing education is a regulatory requirement. ARIDO mandates ongoing professional development through Continuing Education Units (CEUs), ensuring that members maintain the technical knowledge and ethical standards that protect public interest.

We’re thrilled to share that our Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) Headquarters project was shortlisted for a 2025 ARIDO Award in the Work category — one of the most competitive categories in the program. While we didn’t win, this recognition celebrates the collaborative effort between LWG, CCC, and our project partners in creating a workplace that reflects both Canadian diplomacy and global connectivity. 

When people imagine the work of an interior designer, they often picture colour swatches, mood boards, and material samples laid out across a studio table. And yes, those things are part of our creative process — but what’s far less visible, and far more important, is the thinking that goes into every single decision.

At LWG Architectural Interiors, we’re proud to be a mentorship-driven firm. Our team includes several intern interior designers, each at a different stage of their journey toward professional registration. As they gain experience and refine their skills, many are also making an important decision: which path to take toward becoming a Registered Interior Designer in Ontario.

Design shapes experiences. Leadership shapes what's possible. As we write the next chapter for LWG (or sketch it, perhaps), we're excited to see the firm’s story evolve.

Farewell to a man whose doodles built a design empire!

After decades of breaking design norms and colouring outside the lines (literally and figuratively), our founding partner Marc Letellier has decided to retire.

World Exchange Plaza office redesigned to consider people’s experiences.

Upon entering the International Development Research Centre’s office in downtown Ottawa, one is greeted by a display of artifacts, from a three-foot-tall fertility statue of a woman to ornate vases and framed photographs.
